    Struck off Strength/Charge from the United States Navy.

    By 1968

    Transferred to British Historic Aircraft Museum, Southend-On-Sea, Essex.

    Notes: WJ288 Hawker Sea Fury FB10 ROYAL NAVY as 029 at the Historic Aircraft Museum-Southend 31-1-1971 with a seized-engine.Also registered as G-SALY after the auction-sale of the museum in 1983. Flown at Duxford before being sold to the U.S. in 1990 and as N15S in 1991.Restored to airworthy condition at Chino, CA, as N15S in 1993/94 and at Wahpeton in 1997 as WJ288/153 R.N.Then at 2006-7 at the American Airpower Heritage Flying Museum, Midland, Texas (Commemorative Air Force).Believed based at Tulsa-Oklahoma in 2016 and powered by a Wright Cyclone rather than a Bristol Centaurus engine - as originally.
