    Constructed as an UC-61-FA by Fairchild at Hagerstown, MD, USA.
    Built at Hagerstown, Maryland by Fairchild Engine and Airplane Co to USAAF order as a production Model 24W.41 with 175hp Warner Super Scarab series 50A radial.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 42-32134.

    6 August 1942

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n FK330 as a Argus I.

    10 May 1947

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 42-32134.
    USA Flying Club, USAAF Depot, Oberpfaffenhofen Air Base, West Germany. - All RAF Argus postwar disposals were sold to USAFC as a paper transaction to satisfy Lend-Lease requirements.

    Sqn Ldr G.D.Darcy Wentworth was a RAAF Beaufighter pilot during WWII, becoming CO of two Beaufighter squadrons, first No.31 Squadron then No.30 Squadron.
