Notes: ElAl Boeing 707-458 (4X-ATA) Nose Section - No longer wanted by the Intrepid Sea Air Space Museum, the nose section of El Als first Boeing 707 sits on a barge in New York Harbor, awaiting transfer to her new home, the Cradle of Aviation Museum.

Notes: This was El Als first jetliner, delivered back in 1961. On its maiden voyage to Tel Aviv, the aircraft set a world speed record, thanks in part to its Rolls-Royce Conway engines. The marketing folks at Boeing were probably not pleased that the R-R logos were much more prominent than those of the builder of the plane.
