    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 57-2589.

    21 January 1959

    Transferred to 55th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing, Offutt AFB, NE.

    Configured for use by Commander-in-Chief, Strategic Air Command, call sign Casey-01.

    11 October 1983

    Converted to a KC-135E.
    Date is when returned to USAF after conversion by Boeing.

    14 July 1990

    31 August 1991

    Transferred to 55th Wing, Air Combat Command, Offutt AFB, NE.
    Wing re-named with demise of SAC.

    Transferred to 65th Airlift Squadron, Hickham AFB, HI.
    Personal aircraft of Commander-in-Chief, Pacific Air Forces.

    From July 2002 to 2007

    Transferred to 412th Flight Test Squadron, Edwards AFB, CA.

    March 2003

    Operated as personal transport of USAF Chief of Staff.

    From 2006 to 2007

    Operated as interim Speckled Trout after retirement of C-135C 61-2669.
