    Constructed as a CH-47C.

    30 June 1976

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army with s/n 74-22287.

    Transferred to Boeing Vertol, Wilmington, DE.
    Bailment.

    From 31 October 1978 to 7 November 1978

    First Chinook fitted with fibreglass rotor blades. A preliminary Army evaluation was flown at Greater Wilmington, DE.

    By February 1979

    Transferred to US Army Aviation Engineering Flight Activity, Edwards AFB, CA.

    By February 1979

    Redesignated as JCH-47C.

    February 1979

    Used for icing trials.

    From 11 September 1979 to 6 December 1979

    Used as a comparison for the Preliminary Airworthiness Evaluation [PAE 1] of the YCH-47D at the Boeing Flight Test Facility at Wilmington, DE.

    30 May 1980

    Transferred to Fort Rucker, AL.

    Circa 1990

    Remanufactured as a CH-47D.
    New construction number, M.3356, assigned to the airframe.

    30 April 1991

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army with s/n 90-00204.

    4 June 1991

    Transferred to US Army Reserve, 92nd Aviation Company, Paine Field, WA.

    Transferred to 1st General Support Aviation Battalion, 126th Aviation Regiment Delta Schooners, California Army National Guard.
