Mr. Lee outfitted the plane with floats for a projected round-the-world flight; the project was not completed, but the aircraft did fly the Eastern seaboard with the floats. It was converted back to a land plane before he sold it. |

Aircraft passed through many hands until purchased by Mr. Hannaford. |

Mr. Hannaford hoped to restore the aircraft to flying condition, and searched for Alpha parts all over the USA. He was unable to restore the aircraft before he died in 1971. The plane was willed to the Experimental Aircraft Association. |
