    Notes: This is Larry Johnsons Stearman while it was still a sprayer, before he got it.

    Involved in an incident.
    Summarized NTSB narrative from report number SEA81FYP31: There were no fatalities. Incident occurred at 14: 15 hours. The damage was substantial. This was a local flight from Wenatchee, WA. The engine failed or malfunctioned while pulling up from a crop dusting run. Collided with trees on touch down. The factors included; high vegetation on terrain. There was a partial power loss with the failure of one engine. The emergency circumstances included; forced landing on a seaplane base or heliport...

    Notes: This one had an accident on 8-3-81. The engine failed. This is the first time I saw this a/c but I would later buy it in April of 1985.

    Notes: I bought this incomplete Stearman after an accident. This is when I was picking it up to load in a Ryder rental truck from Fancher Field in Wenatchee, WA

    Notes: I shot this while I was rigging the a/c on 4-15-86. It now has a stock Cont. 220 engine replacing the P and W 450 it had when it was in the accident.

    Notes: My second flight in the Stearman after a quick rebuild to two place configuration. Just put on some wings, landing gear and engine that I had that were sitting around. I only had to recover one wing. It was a great flying Stearman.

    Notes: We stripped the paint off the fuselage and started to polish the aluminum, trying to clean up the a/c. I shot this, at Everglades City, Florida - the last photo of it flyable
