According to other sources the basis for restoration was the wreck of Ar 96B-1 c/n 4081 with almost identical history. Produced in 1943, served in Luftwaffe with s/n CD+DH (code 119). On 1 September 1944 hijacked by its pilot who defected and landed in Varobacka, Sweden. Registered as SE-AOB and owned by several companies and persons it ended up with Nils Peterson. De-registered in 1955. However information board at the museum clearly states that many parts came from ?U+CF while there is no mention at all about CD+DH. |
