Notes: Michael Parson comments (September 2010): I watched it go into the dry lake bed from the east hill side back when we could all hang out there. He lost electrical and no one knew he had left the race. They had to call out all of the aircraft race numbers to find out who was missing. I was a police officer back then and called it in on my portable radio. |
