    1942

    Constructed as a Spitfire Vc.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n EE853.

    April 1943

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Australian Air Force with s/n A58-146.
    The delivery date is provided.

    Transferred to 79 Squadron, Milne Bay.

    28 August 1943

    Crashed.
    Crashed on Kiriwina Island when it over ran the strip on landing at Gurney Strip. The damage was extensive. The Pilot was Sgt. Byrne.

    Transported by ship.
    Dismantled and moved to a repair strip at Goodenough Island.

    The repairs were not carried out but rather it was abandoned at the strip on Goodenough Island.

    19 March 1944

    Struck off Strength/Charge.

    1971

    Discovered.
    Found by Langdon Badger overgrown by jungle.

    1974

    Transported by ship.
    Recovered and moved to Adelaide.

    7 May 1974

    The hulk was recovered from Goodenough Island and moved to the Adelaide-Parafield Airport.

    Restored.
    The work was carried out at Parafield Airport. The work took four years.

    To Langdon Badger, Adelaide.
    Placed on display at the home of Mr. Badger.

    August 2001

    Loaned to South Australian Aviation Museum, Port Adelaide, South Australia.
