    Crashed.
    Summary: The damage to the airframe was substantial. There were 7,982 hours on the airframe at the time. The cargo flight departed Anchorage International Airport, AK (ANC/PANC), United States of America and was destined for Shageluk Airport, AK (SHX/PAHX), United States of America. The accident occurred at Shageluk, AK (United States of America) while landing. The airframe was damaged beyond repair. Narrative: The airplane was destabilized by a slight vertical air movement on approach. The pilot touched the airplane down short of the runway, collapsing the landing gear before sliding off the strip into adjacent tundra...

    The accident occurred at the Shageluk Airport (SHX) Shageluk, AK, United States while landing. The damage was substantial. The airplane was destabilized by a slight vertical air movement on approach. The pilot touched the airplane down short of the runway proper, collapsing the landing gear before sliding off the strip into adjacent tundra.

    To Rudy Hamilton, Shageluk, AK.

    Hamilton was asked. to arrange disposal of the crashed aircraft - but instead purchased the wreckage for 1 US dollar - and has converted it into a workshop at his private residence in Shageluk in Alaska.

    Certificate of airworthiness for NR8504X (C-119G, 245) issued.

    10 August 2012

    Civil registration, N8504X, cancelled.
