    Fitted various external lighting systems, flew as Grimes Flying Laboratory 4 and Grimes Lighting Flight Test #4.

    5 July 1986

    Crashed.
    The accident occurred at Tremont City, OH, United States while maneuvering. The damage was substantial. The aircraft collided with a utility pole during an exhibition fly-by. The aircraft continued to fly to its home airport where it made an uneventful landing. The right wing was damaged on the outboard end to include 2 feet of the aileron. The pole struck was 30 feet high and 125 feet from the approach end of the runway.
