    Constructed as a N2S-5 by Boeing.

    Circa 1942

    Was allocated s/n 42-109066 with the United States Army Air Force but was not taken up.

    June 1943

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Navy with BuNo 38478.

    From 10 July 1943 to March 1946

    Transferred to NAPT Ottumwa, IA.

    From March 1946 to 28 June 1946

    Aircraft went to Corpus Christi, TX for reconditioning - completed by July 1946.

    8 July 1946

    Transferred to NAS South Weymouth, MA.

    30 April 1948

    Struck off Strength/Charge from the United States Navy.
    From NAS South Weymouth,MA.

    Never Civil registered - the aircraft has remained in storage for over 70 years and in 2023 is being condidered for sale for restoration.

    To New England Air Museum, Bradley International Airport, Windsor Locks, CT.
