    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Canadian Navy with s/n 4012.

    14 August 1970

    New serial number assigned: 12412 RCN and operated with the markings: 412

    By September 1978

    Transferred to 423/443 Maritime Helicopter Squadrons, CFB Shearwater, Patricia Bay, BC.
    Operated with markings: 412

    By September 1978

    On board HMCS Preserver.

    1991

    Received Gulf War modifications for Operation Friction. Carried various names during Gulf deployment including Hormuz Harry, Hormuz Humper, and Ka-Blam Saddam.

    Onboard HMCS Fredericton.
