    Event

    Constructed as a HH-3F.

    11 June 1969

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Coast Guard with s/n 1471.

    Brad Black: Flew this aircraft while a USCG Pilot. I will have to check logbook for dates and locations.

    7 August 1981

    Crashed.
    Went down in the Gulf of Alaska while performing a hoist to a distressed fishing vessel in bad weather. The crew of four perished after leaving the aircraft.

    Recovered.
    Recovered and moved to Kodiak, Alaska.

    12 February 1983

    Rescue Helicopter from Elizabeth City North Carolina for the Marine Electric cargo disaster.

    30 April 1992

    Transferred to the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Center (AMARC) with inventory number 440021.

    By May 2006

    Placed on display with Freedom Museum USA, Pampa, TX.
