    Constructed as a T-37B-CE by Cessna at Wichita, Kansas, USA.

    Circa 1962

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 62-5951.

    This aircraft was modified to serve as a prototype for the T-37C.

    1963

    Converted to a YAT-37D.

    December 1964

    Struck off Strength/Charge from the United States Air Force.

    From December 1964 to August 1966

    Ferry flight. Delivered to United States Air Force Museum, Patterson Field (East Side), Dayton, Ohio, United States.

    This aircraft was one of two used to develop the A-37A. The program was originally terminated in 1964, but losses of A-1s in Vietnam brought about reactivation of the program in 1966.

    August 1966

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 62-5951.

    Circa 1966

    Redesignated as YA-37A.

    July 1970

    Struck off Strength/Charge from the United States Air Force.

    July 1970

    Ferry flight. Delivered to National Museum of the United States Air Force, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.
    Stored at this location until new museum opened in August 1971.
