    Constructed as a XF-84H.

    Circa 1955

Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 51-17059.

    Markings Applied: FS-059

The goal of the XF-84H program was to design an aircraft that would combine the speed of a jet fighter with the long range, low fuel consumption, and low landing speed of a propeller-driven aircraft. Since the Navy was also interested in a fighter with these attributes, especially as a carrier based aircraft, they were co-sponsors of this program. (NMUSAF).
