    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 70-2390.

    1977

    Transferred to 495th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 48th Tactical Fighter Wing, RAF Lakenheath, England.
    Operated with markings: LN

    15 April 1986

    Flew in Operation El Dorado Canyon, callsign REMIT 31. Lead aircraft for attack on Al Azziziyah Barracks CompoundAain Libya.

    Notes: The 48th Tactical Fighter Wings Commanding Officers F-111F named Miss Liberty II was on display at the 1990 RAF Mildenhall Air Fete

    August 1990

    Lead F-111F deployed to Taif, Saudia Arabia on first day of OPERATION DESERT SHIELD.

    From August 1990 to February 1991

    Flew 29 combat sorties in Desert Storm, destroying 58 targets.

    11 March 1991

    Transferred to RAF Lakenheath.
    Returned from Operation Desert Storm.

    By 1992

    Transferred to 523rd Fighter Squadron, 27th Fighter Wing, Cannon AFB, NM.
    Operated with markings: CC

    14 May 1996

    Ferry flight. Delivered to National Museum of the United States Air Force, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.
