    Roberts sold the aircraft in March 2000 to Greg McCarrach who intended to export the Spitfire to his base in South Africa.

    Crashed.
    Written off in a fatal accident on approach at Goodwood on 8/04/2000, killing the owner and his instructor Norman Lees.

    To Aircraft Restoration Company/Historic Flying Ltd, Duxford Airport, Duxford, Cambridgeshire/Cambs, England with new c/r G-CCCA (SPITFIRE IXT, CBAF 9590).

    From 2003 to 2005

    Restored.
    Original canopy configuration restored (the aircrafts original trainer canopy was discovered in Norfolk).
