    Constructed as a Spitfire I.
    Built at Supermarine Aviation, Woolston, Southampton

    29 November 1939

    First flight.
    From Eastleigh Airport, Southampton.

    Circa 2 December 1939

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n N3200.

    2 December 1939

    Transferred to 8 Maintenance Unit, RAF Little Rissington.

    19 April 1940

    Transferred to 19SQN, RAF Duxford.

    19 April 1940

    Markings Applied: QV
    No individual code carried.

    26 May 1940

    Written off.
    Failed to return from Ops, when she was shot down and force-landed on the beach at Sangatte, France. May 27, 1940.- Sqn Ldr G.D. Stephenson became a PoW.

    Circa April 1986

    Recovered.
    Airframe recovered from the sands on the beach of Sangatte, France.

    From 1986 to 1995

    Placed on display with V3 Museum, Fortresse de Mimoyecques, France.
    Remains displayed in the museum.

    2000

    To Simon Marsh and Thomas Kaplan.
    Stored on the Isle of Wight, UK and then Essex, UK.

    2007

    Transported by ground.
    Essex to Duxford.

    2007

    Restoration started.
    With Historic Flying Ltd, Duxford.

    11 August 2008

    To Mark One Partners Llc, C/O Butterfield Bank (Cayman) Ltd, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands with new c/r G-CFGJ (SPITFIRE I, 441).

    2012

    Restoration continued.
    Fuselage constructed at Airframe Assemblies, Isle of Wight and transported to Historic Flying Ltd, Duxford, 2012.

    By 2014

    First post-restoration Flight.
    With Aircraft Restoration Company pilot John Romain at the controls.

    Based at Imperial War Museum, Duxford Airport, Duxford, Cambridgeshire/Cambs, England.
    Operated by the Aircraft Restoration Company / Historic Flying Ltd.
