David Blaker comments (8 March 2019): The official description board at IWM Duxford says This cockpit is from an aircraft built by the Nakajima Aircraft Company, probably in 1944. Nothing is known of its service history. It is thought to have been captured in 1945 and evaluated by the Allied Technical Air Intelligence Unit - South East Asia. It was transferred to the Museum by the Royal Air Force in 1961 Source IWM.
