    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 53-3816.

    From 16 November 1956 to 1960

    Transferred to 98th Air Refueling Squadron, Lincoln AFB, NE.

    17 December 1965

    Transferred to the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposal Center (MASDC).

    Converted to a KC-97L.

    26 March 1970

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 53-3816.

    From 26 March 1970 to After 1972

    Transferred to 106th Air Refueling Group, Tucson, AZ.

    To AeroPacifico Inc with new c/r XA-PII.
    Operated under contract for Bimbo Bread Corporation.

    Withdrawn from use.

    Notes: At Tucson International Airport (TUS) in September 1994 - Ex 53-3816, the last 367 built. In storage since the late 1980s After retirement from the USAF, in 1987 the Bimbo Bread Corp of Mexico used her for flights between Mazatlan and La Paz for the delivery of bread.

    Stored in an unflyable condition at Tucson IAP.

    To Berlin Airlift Historical Foundation.
    The airframe was not moved from Tucson.

    Useful components removed by the B.A.H.F. for spares for s/n 52-2718 c/r N117GA. The remainder was to be scrapped.

    To Aircraft Restoration and Marketing, Davis-Monthan AFB (West Side), Tucson, AZ.
    Only the cockpit section survives here.
