    Transferred to 355th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 354th Tactical Fighter Wing, Myrtle Beach AFB, SC.
    Operated with markings: MB, AF 70 970

    From September 1972 to May 1974

    Deployed to Korat RTAFB,Thailand for combat over Vietnam.

    18 November 1972

    Flown by Maj. Colin A. Clarke on 9hr rescue support mission in SE Asia, for which he received Air Force Cross.
