    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 48-0017.

    September 1950

    Transferred to 2750th Air Base Wing (Air Materiel Command), Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.

    April 1951

    Transferred to Headquarters Air Research and Development Command, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.

    Redesignated as ERB-45C.

    Modified for various in flight test programs including jet engine testing, avionics upgrades and new reconnaissance equipment.

    June 1951

    Transferred to Wright Air Development Center (ARDC), Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.
    Operated with markings: BE-017

    June 1954

    Loaned to Pratt and Whitney Corp., Hartford, CT.
    Sent to Pratt and Whitney for special test use.

    November 1955

    Redesignated as JRB-45C.

    April 1957

    Redesignated as NRB-45C.

    November 1971

    Struck off Strength/Charge from the United States Air Force.
    This was the last RB-45 in service.

    November 1971

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.
