    Involved in an incident.
    While attempting to land at Hamilton AFB, CA, this F-106B was too low and struck the approach lights, damaging the landing gear before touchdown. When the aircraft landed, the left main gear collapsed. The jet swerved off the runway and narrowly avoided parked aircraft and emergency vehicles. It then disappeared down the taxiway between two hangars and came to rest facing the wrong way on a one-way street, almost htting a car that was driving in the opposite direction. Left wing replaced at Hamilton by working party from SMAMA, McClellan AFB, CA.

    Transferred to 159th FIS, 125th FIG, Florida ANG, Jacksonville, FL.

    19 March 1987

    To B-1B Chase Program, Palmdale, CA.
    Markings added: CHASE

    24 May 1990

    Transferred to the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Center (AMARC) with inventory number FN196.

    2 December 1993

    To AEL Inc, East Alton, IL.
    For drone conversion.

    20 June 1994

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n AD268 as a QF-106B.

    7 October 1997

    Permanently withdrawn from use.
    NWW and 05 door fire on 1st NULLO runup (Flight Terminated).

    April 2000

    Transported by ground. Delivered to Century Airlines Inc, El Paso International Airport, El Paso, TX.
