    Constructed as a MiG-15bis.

    Circa 1951

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Korean Peoples Air Force with s/n 2057.

    21 September 1953

    Senior Lt. No Kum-Sok defected and landed downwind at Kimpo Air Base near Seoul, South Korea.

    Taken to Okinawa where test pilot Capt. H.E. Tom Collins, first flew it. Collins and Maj. C.E. Chuck Yeager made subsequent test flights.

    December 1953

    Transported by air.
    Disassembled and airlifted to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base where it was reassembled and exhaustively flight-tested.

    To United States Air Force Museum, Patterson Field (East Side), Dayton, OH.
