    Constructed as a L-19A-CE by Cessna at Wichita, Kansas, USA.

    Circa 1951

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 51-4750.
    Accepted by the USAF for transfer to the US Army.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army with s/n 51-4750 and operated with these markings: 50B.

    Redesignated as O-1A.

    26 September 1982

    Crashed.
    There were two fatalities. The accident occurred at Belden, CA, United States while maneuvering. The airframe was destroyed. During a search mission, the subject aircraft was seen to turn, then apparently slow or pause and then disappear inverted into high trees at the 4600 foot level. Parts of the aircraft being searched for were only 300 feet from the crash of the subject aircraft. The aircraft was destroyed by post-impact fire.
