Ralph Pettersen comments (9 August 2022): Although N1365N is in excellent condition and could be made airworthy with a reasonable amount of TLC, the engines and other critical components will be harvested to keep BAHFs C-97G N117GA flying. At this point, I believe the best hope for the aircraft would be to install runout engines harvested from the other KC-97s stored at Greybull and place it on display at the Museum of Flight and Aerial Firefighting, which is located at the airport. |
