    Constructed as a Beverley C.1.

    5 July 1955

    First flight.
    Flown at Brough, East Riding of Yorkshire.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n XB261.

    To Aeroplane and Armament Experimental Establishment, Boscombe Down, Wiltshire.
    Based with the AAEE for all its operational life.

    From October 1971 to 1983

    To Historic Aircraft Museum, Southend.

    Notes: The Historic Aircraft Museum at Southend Airport contained this Beverley C.1 in 1974; it was scrapped in 1989, but the cockpit preserved.

    To Ian Huddlestone.

    The aircraft remained on the site of the museum after it was closed - and replaced by a Roller City venture.

    1989

    Deterioration of the airframe made it a health hazard - which meant the aircraft was broken up - but the cockpit was saved.

    Transported by ground.
    To Duxford.

    By June 2004

    To Newark Air Museum, Winthorpe, Newark, Nottinghamshire, England.
    Only the cockpit section survives here.
