    Constructed as an O-46A.

    1936

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Corps with s/n 35-0179.

    By 1938

    Transferred to 91st Observation Squadron, Gray Field, Fort Lewis, WA.

    9 April 1938

    Involved in an incident.
    Forced landing near Bakersfield, CA.

    15 April 1938

    Involved in an incident.
    Taxi accident at Montague, CA.

    20 June 1941

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 35-0179.

    By November 1942

    Transferred to 81st Air Base Squadron.

    27 November 1942

    Crashed.
    Landed downwind at Brooks Field, Harlingen, Texas, ran out of runway and overturned. Written off, it was abandoned in place.

    Circa 1965

    Aircraft was discovered by the Antique Airplane Association with trees growing through its wings.

    1967

    Transported by ground.
    Rescued and hauled to Ottumwa, Iowa.

    1967

    Restoration started.

    September 1970

    Restoration turned out to be beyond the capability of the AAA, and in September 1970, it was traded to the United States Air Force Museum for a flyable C-47.

    To United States Air Force Museum, Patterson Field (East Side), Dayton, OH.

    Restored by Department of Aviation Technology, Purdue University, IN.

    Markings Applied: Wright
    Painted and marked as an O-46A assigned to Wright Field prior to WWII.

    Only O-46A in existence.
