    25 September 1985

    Major Jon S. Beesley was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for saving the aircraft when the left tail fin departed the aircraft while pulling up during a weapons test.

    Ferry flight. Delivered to National Museum of the USAF, Wright Field, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.
