Constructed as a MiG-15UTI.
Construction numbers of original Soviet MiG-15UTIs used in the Polish AF were written in documents and painted on fuselages in shortened form, without factory and model codes, hence this particular one was known as c/n 3504. Often quoted c/n 1A03504 is false. During overhauls in LZR/WZL (Aviation Repair Works) mechanics usually refreshed the worn c/ns painted on fuselage elements. There are known cases that they added 1A in front of original c/n by mistake. Maybe it is one of it. |
