    Restoration using parts from 45-11483 - adopted the identification of USAAF s/n 45-11483 c/r N4674V.

    Notes: Another CA-18 Mustang Mk.22 held by Fawcett Aviation was A68-198, seen on the grass at Bankstown in January 1967. It went on to an adventurous life, restored in USA as a warbird and air racer, flying in France and then back to the United States.

    Raced as #86, named CIUCHETTON.
    Competed at the California National Air Races in the Unlimited class. The primary pilot was John Putman from Bakersfield, CA. Qualified in 4th place with an average speed of 375.644 mph. Started the Championship race, but did not finish. During the Gold Race cut Pylon 3 on Lap 4 and then left the race with an engine issue.

    Raced as #86, named CIUCHETTON.
    Appeared at the National Championship Air Races to compete in the Unlimited class, but did not qualify. The primary pilot was John Putman. Raced in the Make-Up race. Finished in 2nd place with an average speed of 345.37 mph. Raced in the Reserve race. Finished in 2nd place with an average speed of 352.57 mph.
