    Constructed as a C-130A-LM by Lockheed at Marietta, GA.

    November 1956

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 54-1626.

    Circa 1957

    Converted to a JC-130A.

    26 February 1967

    Transferred to 4950th Test Wing, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.

    May 1967

    Converted to an AC-130A.
    Prototype for AC-130A conversions. Equipped with four 20mm and four 7.62mm multi-barrel guns, a searchlight and target sensors.

    June 1967

    Transferred to Eglin AFB, FL.
    Further testing and modification to certify for combat.

    21 September 1967

    Transferred to Detachment 2, 14th Air Commando Wing. Nha Trang Air Base, South Vietnam.

    December 1967

    Transferred to Eglin AFB, FL.
    Returned for further modifications.

    12 February 1968

    Transferred to Detachment 2, 14th Air Commando Wing, Ubon Royal Thai Air Force Base, Thailand.

    1968

    Transferred to 16th Special Operations Squadron, 8th Tactical Fighter Wing.
    Redesignation of Detachment 2, 14th Air Commando WIng.

    March 1972

    Crashed.
    Crashed in Vietnam, repaired.

    1972

    Transferred to 4950th Test Wing, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.

    Circa January 1973

    Converted to a JC-130A.

    May 1976

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.
