    Constructed as a F-105F-1-RE by Republic at Farmindale, New York, USA.

    27 November 1963

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 62-4416.

    5 January 1964

    Transferred to 4th Tactical Fighter Wing (Tactical Air Command), Seymour Johnson AFB, NC.

    From 13 March 1964 to 18 August 1964

    Transferred to Eglin AFB, FL.
    Deployed to Eglin from Seymour Johnson.

    4 December 1965

    In depot work for installation of Wild Weasel III equipment by SMAMA, McClellan AFB, CA.

    16 January 1966

    Converted to an EF-105F.
    First test flight at Eglin AFB, FL, as prototype EF-105F; the first F-105F modified for Wild Weasel III program. After five test missions, 62-4416 and five other aircraft were flown to McClellan AFB, CA, to fix problems.

    By 15 June 1966

    Transferred to 4520th Combat Crew Training Wing (TAC), Nellis AFB, NV.

    31 August 1966

    Transferred to 4525th Fighter Weapons Wing (TAC), Nellis AFB.

    By 11 June 1967

    Transferred to 44th TFS, 388th TFW, PACAF, Korat RTAFB, Thailand.
    Operated with markings: RE

    By 8 December 1967

    Transferred to 34th TFS, 388th TFW, PACAF, Korat RTAFB, Thailand.
    Operated with markings: JJ

    2 February 1968

    Transferred to 18th Tactical Figther Wing (PACAF), Kadena AB.

    From 6 February 1968 to 31 August 1968

    Transferred to Osan AB, Korea.
    Deployed to Osan from Kadena.

    28 October 1968

    Transferred to 355th Tactical Fighter Wing (PACAF), Takhli RTAFB, Thailand.

    18 December 1969

    Converted to a F-105G.

    24 September 1970

    Transferred to Det. 1, 12th TFS, 18th TFW, (PACAF), Korat RTAFB, Thailand.
    Operated with markings: ZA

    1 November 1970

    Transferred to 6010th WWS, 388th TFW, PACAF, Korat RTAFB, Thailand.

    20 November 1970

    One of the five F-105Gs that flew during the Son Tay POW raid. During the raid, 4416 fired two AGM-45 Shrike missiles at North Vietnamese SAM sites.

    Transferred to 17th WWS, 388th TFW, PACAF, Korat RTAFB, Thailand.

    23 October 1972

    Transferred to 561st TFS, 35th TFW, Korat RTAFB, Thailand.
    Operated with markings: WW

    2 July 1973

    Transferred to 35th Tactical Fighter Wing (TAC), Korat RTAFB, Thailand.

    14 September 1973

    Transferred to 35th Tactical Fighter Wing (TAC), George AFB, CA.

    From 24 May 1974 to 7 June 1974

    TDY Shaw AFB, SC.

    From 20 June 1978 to 27 June 1978

    TDY to Eglin AFB, FL.

    From 9 August 1978 to 9 September 1978

    Deployed to Karup AB, Denmark, under CORONET SPARROW.

    12 July 1980

    Struck off Strength/Charge from the United States Air Force.
    Dropped to the inventory by transfer to museum status.

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.
