    Constructed as a N-9M.

    Redesignated as N-9MB.

    21 September 1943

    First flight.

    Built in support of the XB-35 strategic bomber program, used in series of test flights to measure aerodynamic characteristic of flying wing design. After completion of the test program it was used by the USAAF to train pilots.

    At the prison yard of California Rehabilitation Center in Norco, CA, USA. Aircraft completely destroyed, the pilot died.
