Taken on Strength/Charge with the Imperial German Air Service with s/n 8103/18. |

1919 |
By the end of the year these aircraft and spares were confiscated by the Allies. Strahle was not allowed to own them under terms of the Versailles Treaty. |

1920 |
Strahle bought them back from the reparation commission for ten times of the original purchase price. Three complete airplanes started flight operations with his company. Incomplete fuselages of two CL.IV and one CLS.I were put to storage. |

Circa 1988 |
NASM and USAF Museum made an agreement with Museum fur Verkehr und Technik in Berlin by which MVT will restore and rebuilt all three Halberstadt CL.IV planes: the NASM example and the CL.IV fuselage together with CL.IV (Rol) D-IBAO still in the possession of the USAF Museum. In return, MVT will keep D-IBAO, CLS.I fuselage and remaining spare parts. |
