    Notes: This is VH-EWE at the Westlakes McDonalds hamburger restaurant in Adelaide by 1987. It was fitted with rows of tables for diners and childrens birthday parties. The TAA scheme is authentic as is its original TAA registration VH-AER.

    Notes: Essendon May 1981, by now VH-EWE had been repainted in Setairs scheme but on-sold to General Cargo Australia. It was retired at Essendon the following year and sold to McDonalds restaurant chain

    Notes: East West Airlines DC-3 VH-EWE at Sydney Airport in May 1963. It ended its days at a McDonalds hamburger restaurant at West Lakes, Adelaide, painted in its earlier TAA markings as VH-AER.

    Notes: A very smart Auster J-5G Cirrus Autocar VH-KEV, rolled out from its hangar for a photograph in July 1967 on Wiawera Station at remote Olary SA, near Broken Hill. The metal wheel spats were quite unusual in the 1960s.

    Notes: Fawcett Aviations second target-tug Mustang was VH-BOZ Zulu, a CA-18 Mustang Mk.22 formerly RAAF A68-199. Here it is seen at home base Bankstown in 1966 parked near the Fawcett hangar. Metallic with red trim.

    Notes: When East West Airlines retired several DC-3s in 1967, their ownership was transferred to associate company Pacific and Western Aviation at Tamworth to arrange their disposal. VH-PWN was previously VH-EWF. It was photographed at Tamworth in September 1968 prior to its sale to Queensland Pacific Trading Ltd.

    Airframe: North American-Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation CA-17-Mk 20 Mustang, s/n 13 RAAF, c/n 1364, c/r N551D {3}
    Notes: Fawcett Aviations CA-17 Mustang Mk.20 VH-BOY Yankee at Adelaide Airport in March 1966 while on an Army target towing contract. A rearward-facing winch operator behind the pilot managed the mile-long target cable, using the wind-powered winch on the fuselage side. Doug Fawcett also operated Illawarra Flying School at Bankstown, hence the slogan on the tail.
