    Airframe: Douglas DC-6A, c/n 44260, c/r N8057X
    Notes: Originally built in 1954 as a freighter DC-6A, it is here in pax service for Afganistan back when the country was only famous for lending its name to a breed of skinny hounds. It later moved to Latin America and was last heard of in the Miami graveyard

    Notes: Pictured here at London Gatwick - One of the immaculate fleet of Douglas DC-6Bs operated by Braathens. (S-A-F-E stands for South American and Far East). This ship was built for Maritime Central Airways as CF-MCL in 1958 and returned to Canada to be a retardant bomber as C-GIOY in 1976

    Notes: 1967 photo at London Gatwick AirportA Douglas DC-3 in service with Danish airline Faroe Airways. Built for the USAF in 1944, it was converted to civil status by Canadair then served with several Scandinavian airlines until scrapped in 1968
